Tips For Successful Fundraising:

  • Ensure you have a team. Itís difficult to do any type of fundraiser with only one or two people. If youíre selling the Happy Cards, try to get each member of your group to commit to selling a specific number of cards. If you have 25 people and they agree to sell 25 cards each, that would be $100 per person in profits for your group, $2500 total. Now thatís a good fundraiser!
  • If youíre doing the 5-Hour Fundraiser, you may want to send out the flyer more than once. For example, if your 5-Hour Fundraiser is for a school, see if the school will send the flyer home on a Monday in all the kidsí backpacks, and again the day before the actual event. This way parents get a second reminder and the likelihood of them ordering is increased.
  • If youíre hosting a fundraiser at Happy Joe's, get involved. Set up a table inside the restaurant with your brochures and information about your organization. Bring a donation canister. There may be guests dining at Happy Joe's that havenít heard about the fundraiser, and those guests may be willing to donate. You can also put your staff or those benefiting from the fundraiser in our Happy Joe's aprons to help work that night. Many parents and supporters love to come to Happy Joe's to see their kids helping with the fundraiser.
  • Keep Happy Joe's informed. A few days prior to the fundraiser call us and give us an estimate of how many you think will be coming. Itís not always easy, but it helps us prepare and assure that you have the best service and products possible.
